Enhancing Resident Care with Innovative Technology
Saint Luke’s Place has recently launched mobile technology which streamlines resident care and staff workflows. The innovative application, created by Toronto based VitalHub, operates on iPhones used by staff during their daily resident care routines.
“As early adopters of this technology, we have embraced the tremendous benefits to improving the quality of resident care each and every day” says Brian Swainson, CEO at Saint Luke’s Place in Cambridge, Ontario.
While the system is still new, Saint Luke’s Place has been working with the software developer to maximize the functionality and breadth of application, all with a focus on client-centred care.
“Paperwork is reduced, with enhanced communication among staff team members. Immediate, on-the-spot mobile technology ensures accurate charting of residents’ Activities of Daily Living and improvements to managing care and treatment. Our goal has been less time spent on paperwork, allowing an increased focus on quality time spent with our residents,” added Swainson. “Our staff team members have been very receptive to the new technology, and we are thrilled with the learnings and improvements that have come with this leading-edge innovation in resident care management.”
