We're doing great things
Since its beginnings in 1992, Saint Luke’s Place Foundation has provided invaluable support for the care and services provided by Saint Luke’s Place to its residents and tenants.
The strength of the Foundation come from its many loyal and compassionate donors. Private individuals, members of the Saint Luke’s Place community, family members, Saint Luke’s Place Auxiliary, the Royal Canadian Legions, corporate sponsors, and our many other friends in the local community help to support the excellent work done by Saint Luke’s Place through philanthropic gifts to Saint Luke’s Place Foundation. Over the years, the Foundation’s fundraising efforts have included:
Point of Care computerized charting system to ensure timely and accurate recording of resident care
eMAR (electronic Medication Administration Records) to improve quality and safety of administering resident medications
New Lifting Devices and Slings which provide independence, dignity, safety and comfort
Ergonomic adjustable dining room tables, and new dining room chairs for Long-Term Care to provide comfort and accessibility
Electric Hi-Lo Beds with replacement mattresses for Long-Term Care Residents to promote independence, safety and comfort
A new Therapeutic Bathing System to provide therapeutic benefits to Long-Term Care residents
An Accessible Pathway which allows our residents and tenants to further enjoy the outdoors
Two vans (one of which is wheelchair accessible) to provide transportation for special outings and activities
Nurse Call Bell system for Long-Term Care and Retirement, and an emergency call system for apartment tenants, for safety and security
Renovations to our Special Care Unit and Chapel
Other medical equipment to improve the quality of care we provide to our residents every single day
