Masquerade Charity Ball a Smashing Success
Friday October 27th was the Saint Luke’s Place Foundation inaugural Masquerade Charity Ball. The event was featured at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre and we’re happy to say it was a tremendous success. The emcee for the night was Angie Hill from K-FUN 99.5. Angie’s humour and energy was much appreciated in keeping the Gala running smoothly.
“The evening was a testament to the hard work of staff and volunteers. For our first major fundraising gala, the sold out evening went far beyond our expectations,” said Brian Swainson, CEO of Saint Luke’s Place.
The local event was to raise funds for the Saint Luke’s Place long-term care redevelopment campaign. All funds raised go towards the revitalization and redevelopment of our facilities to meet the increasingly complex care needs of our residents for generations to come. The transformational project is expected to take several years and will allow Saint Luke’s Place to continue to support the needs of a growing senior population.
“We’re thrilled to see such great support from the community. Our thanks goes out to all our sponsors, local dignitaries and the families and friends who came out to help us raise funds for our redevelopment campaign. We couldn’t have hoped for a better evening,” added Swainson.
Saint Luke’s Place continues to bring awareness of the Redevelopment Campaign through media channels, special events and community participation. If you would like to find out how you can help, visit us at www.saintlukesplace.ca. To make a donation, you can visit www.saintlukesplace.ca/donate.
Thanks again to all who helped make the evening something to remember!
