Family Council

About our Family Council
At Saint Luke’s Place, our Family Council plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our Long-Term Care residents. This dedicated group of family members and individuals of importance to residents works in partnership with staff to support care and community in meaningful ways.
The Family Council:
- Offers support, information, and guidance to residents and their families—especially helpful when new residents join our home.
- Promotes awareness of resident rights and responsibilities, helping families understand the role of the home and its licensee.
- Helps to resolve concerns and foster open communication.
- Plans and sponsors activities that enrich the lives of residents.
- Collaborates with community groups and volunteers to bring engaging programs and events to our home.
- Reviews reports and shares feedback to help improve the home’s operations.
- Brings forward recommendations and concerns to enhance the overall resident experience.
We are proud to have an active and engaged Family Council that contributes so positively to our community.
