Gretta Hughes was born in El Salvador, moved to Cambridge, Ontario at age 10, and has loved calling the community home ever since. She holds diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Child and Youth Work and is a licensed real estate professional. Gretta’s career has been built on empathy, integrity, and a commitment to supporting people through important life decisions.
As a board member at Saint Luke’s Place, Gretta brings her expertise, values, and professional experience to support the organization’s mission. Her people-focused approach, collaborative mindset, and dedication to community help ensure that residents feel valued, supported, and connected while contributing to thoughtful decision-making and governance.
Gretta is a proud wife and mother to two children. In her spare time, she enjoys family, friends, and giving back to her community. For her, creating environments where people feel cared for and empowered to thrive, like Saint Luke’s Place, is at the heart of everything she does.
